Our Commitment to You

Thank you for selecting Nick's Building Supply. This limited warranty is extended to the end user of Nick's entry and interior doors. This limited warranty is valid for one year from the date of purchase and is subject to further conditions and exclusions set forth below.

It is the responsibility of the homeowner or their representative to inspect each door prior to installation. If the door is installed, it will be assumed the door met all purchaser specifications and requirements. Once the door is installed, the seller shall not be held responsible for any alleged damage. This does not in any way affect the warranty.

During the term of this limited warranty products are warranted to be free from defects in manufacturing and workmanship (cut downs and modifications excluded). If such a defect appears during the term of this warranty, Nick's will at its option: (1) repair the defective product, (2) replace the defective materials, or (3) offer an agreed monetary reimbursement. If repair or replacement is elected, Nick's will not be responsible for labor, installation, or refinishing of replaced parts. Replacement products furnished pursuant to this warranty will be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.

Important: Upon discovering a defective door, the customer must send photos of the issue via email. Nick's Building Supply will not be liable for shipping costs. Customers must return doors in the original crate or equivalent. All custom-sized and pre-hung orders are final (non-returnable/non-changeable).

Warranty Limitations

1. Warranty does not apply to doors installed in arid climates (Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Arizona, New Mexico, Montana, the Dakotas, parts of Colorado, California, and Texas). Review our Climate Disclaimer before ordering.
2. Wood expansion/contraction due to temperature and humidity is natural and not covered. Panel movement and touch-ups are expected.
3. No warranty is offered on fire doors due to extreme conditions.
4. All doors must be fully sealed on all six sides within 72 hours of receipt.
5. Warranty does not apply where structures lack proper moisture management (e.g., synthetic stucco without engineered drainage).
6. No coverage for damage caused by mold, mildew, or similar organisms.
7. Warpage is not a defect unless exceeding 1/4". Oversized doors are excluded.
8. Exterior doors must have an overhang extending at least half the door’s height (see fig. 1a).
9. Clearance doors are sold "as is." Glass/parts may be replaced at Nick’s discretion within 1 year.

Conditions Not Covered

1. Exterior doors exposed to extreme weather without overhang.
2. Natural wood variations (color, knots, texture).
3. Improper finishing, installation, or maintenance.
4. Modifications or alterations (cutting into joints, etc.).
5. Painting factory finishes other than primer.
6. Normal wear or finish discoloration.
7. Rust on wrought iron grills or accessories.
8. Environmental conditions exceeding standards.
9. Minor glass imperfections not affecting normal vision.
10. Damage during shipment.
11. Panel shrinkage or floating panel misalignment.
12. Use of storm doors or coverings preventing ventilation.

Extended Warranty

Nick's Building Supply offers an optional extended warranty:

• $300 for 6'8" doors (3 years of coverage)
• $500 for 8'0" doors (3 years of coverage)

The extended warranty provides coverage beyond the standard 1-year limited warranty, extending coverage to 3 years from the original purchase date. All standard exclusions and limitations still apply.

Note: Labor, installation, and refinishing are not included.

Additional Terms

Your exclusive remedy is as specified above. Nick’s shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow such exclusions, so these may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may also have others depending on your state.

This limited warranty is the sole warranty provided by Nick's and supersedes any prior or subsequent representations. All other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed to the maximum extent allowed by law.
